Dana School of Music bands present concert

“Pageant,” a concert by the University and Concert bands at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music, will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.
The University Band will be conducted by Stephen Gage, Brandt Payne and Kevin Scales, while the Concert Band will be conducted by Payne and Michael Kelly, director of bands at Canfield High School.
Selections by the University Band include Charles Carter’s “Overture for Winds,” Andrew Boysen Jr.’s “In Heaven’s Air,” Clare Grundman’s “Norwegian Rhapsody” and Davide Delle Cese’s “L’Inglesina.” The Concert Band will perform Tielman Susato’s selections from “The Danserye,” Rossano Galante’s “A Childhood Remembered,” Vincent Persichetti’s “Pageant” and John Philip Sousa’s “The Liberty Bell.”
