Boardman man charged with home repair project not done

Boardman police booked a man accused of theft by deception from an incident that occurred in 2012.

John Blazo, 51, of Leighton Avenue, was arrested at Mahoning County Area Court here on the warrant pending from 2012.

Blazo is accused of charging a woman to re-shingle and re-side her home in September 2012, but never starting the project.

The woman told police she provided a partial payment of $10,300 to Blazo on Sept. 5, 2012.

The woman filed a police report on Nov. 8, 2012, because work was still not underway on her home.
