Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Ellsworth United Methodist Church will serve a baked ham and scalloped potatoes dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 10 and free for kids 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will serve a spaghetti dinner with tossed salad bar from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for 5 to 12 and 4 and under eat for free. The event will benefit the church youth. A bake sale will take place during the dinner hours.

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The menu consists of Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Volant Volunteer Fire Department, 575 Main St., Volant, Pa., will sponsor an all-you-can-eat buckwheat pancake and sausage day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Regular pancakes also will be served. Burton-Middlefield Rotary will serve pancakes from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Berkshire High School, 14510 N. Cheshire St., Burton. Geauga County maple syrup will be included. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for kids 4 to 10. An omelet can be added for $3.

Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, will serve dinner from noon to 4 p.m. It comprises homemade chicken noodle soup, half a baked chicken, potato, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert, and coffee or tea. St. Anthony of Padua Church and St. Joseph the Provider School will offer a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Hall, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $6 and will be available at the door. The menu includes sausage, homefry patty, muffin, orange juice and coffee. St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a Mardi Gras themed pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon in Maxwell Hall. Adult tickets are $6, children’s are $3. Proceeds will benefit the church capital improvement fund.

St. Patrick Church, 225 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for 6 to 10, children 5 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available. Proceeds will help fund the Men’s Renewal weekend March 15 and 16 and the Women’s Renewal weekend March 29 and 30.

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will feature a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for 8 and under. There also will be a concert from 2 to 3 p.m. featuring the Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers.

Ursuline Boys Golf Team is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Ursuline High School cafeteria, 750 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will offer its 35th annual Shrove Tuesday pancakes and sausage supper. It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. for a freewill offering.

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 9 at the Salem Italian American Club, 250 Penn Ave. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at 330-332-4897. The cost is $7 per ticket, and children under 5 eat for free. The meal comprises spaghetti with meatballs, salad or applesauce, Italian bread, coffee, tea or lemonade and a dessert. The event also will feature a basket auction, 50-50 raffle and a carryout bake sale. Carryout dinners will be available by calling 330-337-8817. All proceeds benefit the animals at the sanctuary.

Adult dinners are $10 each. Children’s dinners are $5 each and include fried fish or shrimp, pirogi, french fries or green beans (choose one) and bread and butter, dessert and punch. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary eighth-grade class trip to New York City will earn 15 percent of all food sales.
