CRAFT SHOWS

American Legion Post 166, 141 W. Main St., Alliance, is planning its Spring Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 22. There will be a variety of vendors such as 31, Scentsy, jewelry, Avon, candles etc. Vendors are being added daily. There will be raffles, food, beverages and baked goods.

FLEA MARKETS

St. Michael Orthdox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, is seeking vendors for a flea market planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 and 8. Kielbasa, haluski and other foods will be available. For information call the Rev. Andrew Gromm at 330-799-8133.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Salem Community Center’s fifth annual Women’s Night Out will take place March 19. Sponsorship, advertising and vendor tables are now available. Women’s Night Out centers around information, products and services for females of all ages who want to learn ways to take better care of their bodies and minds and improve upon their lifestyles. Area businesses are encouraged to become a sponsor, advertiser and/or vendor. All proceeds will benefit the operation of the newly added SCC Children’s Fitness Center. St. Michael Church, 300 N. Broad St., Canfield, will host its eighth annual Wine Taste Benefit at 7 p.m. Friday in the parish Family Life Center. The event will feature wines from a number of distributors in the region paired with food selections provided by Naffah Hospitality. There also will be auction items up for bid and a cash raffle drawing. Tickets are $55 per person and available from committee members or the parish office.

TRIPS

Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society Inc. is offering a Cherry Blossom Express tour from March 30 through April 2. The cost is $869 per person for a double and $969 per person for a single. Travel will be on historic railcars, and five meals will be served on the train. Two dinners in D.C. also are included. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is sponsoring a bus trip to the Original Sewing and Quilting Expo (www.sewingexpo.com) at the Cleveland IX Center on April 4. The cost will be $33 for members and $37 for nonmembers includes admission, a free class ($19 value), a shopping bag, a commemorative pin and bus transportation. There are 3 pickup sites: Austintown Plaza (6:30 a.m.), Niles Kmart (7 a.m.) or Champion Big Lots (7:15 a.m.). Reservations must be paid by March 21. Niles SCOPE Senior Center will have a bus leaving for the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh on March 13. The cost is $22 and the incentive is $20 in slots. All seats are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be paid in full at time of registration.
