Mendez-Norge engagement is announced

Debra Leonard of Boardman is announcing the engagement of her daughter, Alexandria Mendez of Boardman, and Matthew Norge of New Castle, Pa. Her father is David Mendez of Las Vegas. His parents are Jim and Janet Norge of New Castle.

Invitations will be extended for the May 30 ceremony at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park and for a reception that will follow at the SNPJ Alpine Room in Enon Valley, Pa.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Youngstown State University. She works in accounts payable for Cintas of North Jackson.

The future groom earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from YSU and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Slippery Rock University. He also earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a mechanical engineer at Westinghouse Electric in Cranberry Township, Pa.
