AUSTINTOWN

A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze turbo diesel, a joint campaign incentive donated by Greenwood Chevrolet for the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley and the United Way of Trumbull County, will be given away at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chevrolet’s Hummer Building, 4695 Mahoning Ave. Ten finalists, five each from the Youngstown-Mahoning Valley and Trumbull United Ways, will get a key to attempt to start the car. All donors of $156 or more qualified for one chance in the drawing to win the car, and donors of $200 or more received two chances in the drawing.

Warren man indicted

WARREN

Jermaine Hall Sr., 37, of Logan Avenue, has been indicted in a Nov. 25 crash that injured a Warren police officer. Hall was indicted in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on aggravated vehicular assault, operating a motor vehicle impaired, failure to stop after an accident and aggravated drug possession. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Hall hit the back of Patrolman David Weber’s cruiser as Weber was leaning into it during a traffic investigation on West Market Street. The collision injured Weber but not Hall, who continued driving after the crash. Hall was apprehended a short time later. If convicted, Hall could get more than five years in prison.

Indicted on rape charges

WARREN

Kendall L. Thomas, 42, of North Feederle Avenue Southeast, was indicted Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on five counts of rape involving a girl. The rapes are alleged to have occurred from October 2011, when the girl was 10, to January 2014, when she was 12. If convicted, Thomas could get life in prison.
