Twice-Loved Book Sale

What: Peruse tables in the Antonucci Horticulture Library for much-loved books and magazines on gardening, cooking and nature.
Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown.
Details: Donations of related used books are appreciated at any time. All proceeds benefit the library.

Sign of Spring
When: Sunday, 2- 4 p.m.
What: Astronomically and officially, spring is almost a month away, but if we’re lucky, we may find the first wildflower of 2014. This amazing plant can push up through snow and ice.
Where: Scholl Recreation Area, 2541-2665 Bears Den Road, Youngstown.
Details: Moderate rating with some hills, about 2 miles.
Simply Vegetarian
When: Feb, 28, 6-8 p.m.
What: Liberty Merrill, senior program coordinator at YNDC and lifelong vegetarian, will share her Veggie Foodie experiences while cooking a nutritious black bean chili dinner.
Where: Demonstration Kitchen, 822 Billingsgate Ave. (at the back of Iron Roots Urban Farm).
