Dana orchestra to present concert

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of John Wilcox, will present a concert at 8 p.m. Monday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

Dana Young Artist Competition winners tenor Victor Cardamone, guitarist Philip Monrean, and trombonist Lauren Eisenreich — performing Mozart, Rodrigo and Larsson, respectively — will be featured.

The second half of the program will feature Gustav Holst’s monumental work, “The Planets.”

Festival reveals its opening film

CLEVELAND

The Cleveland International Film Festival will open March 19 with “Not Another Happy Ending.”

The film, directed by John McKay, is a gentle, stylish, and quirky romantic comedy starring Karen Gillan, Stanley Weber and Amy Manson. It focuses on a struggling publisher who discovers his only successful author has writer’s block. It is up to him to unblock her or he is finished.

Utah Jazz owner goes undercover

SALT LAKE CITY

The owner and CEO of the Utah Jazz will be featured on the Feb. 28 episode of CBS reality TV show “Undercover Boss.” Greg Miller will disguise himself a few times over for the episode chronicling game night happenings at EnergySolutions Arena.

Miller will try out four different jobs alongside Jazz employees, including a halftime performer and a human basketball hoop. He’ll also serve up burgers and hotdogs as a concessions worker.
