Rotary district sets fundraising event

GROVE CITY, PA.

In conjunction with Rotary International’s 109th anniversary and to raise funds to eradicate polio worldwide, Rotary District 7280 invites community and Rotary members to participate in the first Rotary Global Swimarathon/Walk-athon, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Grove City YMCA, 543 E. Main St. Ext.

Members of local clubs, such as Grove City, Slippery Rock, Mercer, Sharon and Hermitage, and other clubs in the district will participate. Those attending may register at the Grove City YMCA now, or register that day beginning at 12:30 p.m. Participants are urged to get sponsors to donate an amount per unit of time/minutes that you swim or walk.
