April 3, 2013: Randy Dunn named one of eight semifinalists for president of Youngstown State University.

April 12-13: Dunn named one of three finalists for the position.

May 10: Dunn chosen as new university president.

June 7: Dunn signs three-year contract for $375,000 per year.

July 15: Dunn’s first day.

Oct. 28: Dunn discusses campus safety after several weeks of campus robberies.

Oct. 30: He announces that beginning in fall 2014, YSU will no longer accept every student who applies.

Feb. 16: Southern Illinois University student newspaper reports Dunn is front-runner to be named president.

Feb. 17: Southern Illinois announces Dunn will become president.
