Relay kicks off week

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The annual Relay for Life at St. Patrick School in Hubbard recently kicked off Catholic Schools Week. The event raises funds to help fight cancer. Luminaries were lit in honor of cancer survivors and for those who lost their struggle with cancer. Noreen Jones spoke about her personal battle with cancer and the strides that have been made against the disease. Various stations, such as the healthy snack station, skin cancer awareness coloring station and physical activity stations, stressed the importance of physical activity in the fight against cancer.
