Diana Tremblay, General Motors vice president of global business services, will be the keynote speaker at the 22nd annual ATHENA Award dinner May 22 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.

The award recognizes area business and professional women who distinguish themselves in terms of professional achievement, community service and support for professional women.

The dinner is hosted by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and The Vindicator, but additional sponsors are being sought.

Home & Garden Show is scheduled

The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of the Valley will host its 63rd annual Home & Garden Show from Friday through Sunday at Mr. Anthony’s.

The event will feature a chance to win an outdoor dining set and a Lowe’s-sponsored program, where children can make projects from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The show will run from noon to 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Pishkur to speak

YOUNGSTOWN

Walter “Buzz” Pishkur, former president of Aqua Ohio and the Forum Health hospital system, will be a featured speaker at Wednesday’s YOUNG series event, presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

The event, “The Real Truth About Oil and Gas Development,” starts at noon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Banquet Hall, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, and also will feature Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County, Pa., Chamber of Commerce.

Annual STEM College Awards Dinner set

YOUNGSTOWN

The 6th Annual STEM College Awards Dinner will take place Thursday in the Chestnut Room of the Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The night will start with a 6 p.m. reception, followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. and an awards presentation at 8 p.m. The event is open to the public. The cost is $40 per person or $350 for event sponsorship and a reserved table for eight people.

Flynn’s has opened new call center

WEST MIDDLESSEX, Pa.

Flynn’s Tire Wholesale announced the opening of a new order-processing call center at the company’s corporate office, 2908 Mercer West Middlesex Road, that will allow real-time inventory management in one consolidated program.

The new call center will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 to noon Saturdays.
