St. Columba Cathedral was the setting for the Oct. 19, 2013, wedding of Emily Stanavich and Robert Colaianni. The Revs. Richard Murphy and Michael Swierz officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. A reception at the Georgetown in Boardman honored the couple.

John and Kathy Stone of Poland and Joseph and Ann Stanavich of Boardman are the parents of the bride. The groom’s parents are Dean and Diana Colaianni of Boardman.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Columbus.

The bride wore a lace, embroidered V-neck-style sheath gown embellished with crystals and pearls. It was completed with an open picture back and an ivory satin belt.

The bride’s sister Amanda Stanavich was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Sikorski; Maria Riley, the groom’s sister; Casey Amend; Katie Holstein; and Kimberly Hunter.

Juliana Riley, the groom’s niece; and Maddisyn Stone, the bride’s niece, were flower girls. The attendants wore Wedgwood blue gowns.

David and Steven Colaianni, the groom’s brothers, shared the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jason Marchese, William Marsden, Anthony DiNunzio and Patrick Marlowe. The groom’s nephew Nathan Riley was ring bearer.

Ushers were Denny Riley, the groom’s brother-in-law; Michael Stone, the bride’s brother; and Mark Swisher.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio Northern University. She is a registered nurse for Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

The groom is a graduate of Youngstown State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is an insurance broker and adviser for HealthMarkets Insurance in Columbus.
