Carrie Mavrikis and Matthew Speas were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Brendan Church. The Rev. Bob Penhallurick officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. The couple were celebrated with a reception at La Scala Italian Bistro in Dublin, Ohio.

The bride is the daughter of George and Janet Mavrikis of Boardman. Lance and Karen Speas of Stow, Ohio, are the parents of the groom.

The bride’s sister, Gina Cox, was the matron of honor, and the flower girl was Chloe Frank, the bride’s cousin. The groom’s brother, Adam Speas, performed duties of best man, and the groom’s cousin William McCloud was ring bearer. Ushers were cousins of the bride Joe Frank and Rodney Nespeca, and cousins of the groom Ian McCloud and Josh Speas.

After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C., the couple reside in Columbus.
