CAMPBELL

City police arrested three people on drug-related charges in less than three hours on Thursday.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police observed a man — later identified as Daniel M. Hagens, 21, of Devitt Avenue in Campbell — knock on a Monroe Street door and exchange property with the occupant.

Officers stopped Hagens, and asked him why he was there — a question to which he could not provide an answer. When asked whether he had anything illegal on him, Hagens admitted to police that he had a small bag containing 1 gram of suspected marijuana in his pocket.

Hagens was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, and given a trespass warning.

He is set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

At about 1:40 p.m. Thursday, police noticed a car fail to signal its turn onto McCartney Road and initiated a traffic stop.

Police soon learned that the driver — identified as Kimberly Ann Kamrad Rosile, 25, of Hughes Road in Hubbard — had been driving with an expired license, which is a minor-misdemeanor offense.

Rosile and her passenger — identified as Clinton Thomas Gearheart, 39, of Princeton Avenue in Hubbard — consented to a police search of the car, which produced 0.6 grams of suspected heroin, a charred spoon and two capped syringes.

Gearheart — who admitted that the heroin was his — was charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rosile was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia, and also cited for the two traffic offenses.

Both Gearheart and Rosile were scheduled to appear in Campbell Municipal Court on Friday.
