ACH asks for food donations


SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR In recognition of Heart Month, the Alliance Community Hospital volunteers are asking for donations of nonperishable foods and paper products for its Have a Heart food drive through Feb. 15. Items will be given to the Alliance Community Food Pantry and can be placed in a box in the hospital cafe. Holding some of the items that have been collected are, from left, Barb Morgan and Eleanor Carver, ACH volunteers; Michele Quinn, coordinator of volunteer services; and Wendy Tabellion. Volunteers range in age from 16 to 93. Last year the food pantry gave away 931,000 pounds of food, an increase of 37 percent since 2012.
