Animal Charity drive for needed items runs through Friday

Animal Charity is collecting items needed for the animals for which it cares.

The item drive runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Friday on the first floor of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.

Items needed include dry and canned dog food, puppy food, paper towels, brooms, newspapers, dog and cat toys, plastic grocery bags, large and small garbage bags, steel cat and dog food dishes, cat litter and kitten food.

The item drive is called My Fluffy Valentine. Other items the shelter needs include rawhides, pens/pencils, shovels, garden hoses, office supplies, Lysol spray, air fresheners, laundry detergent, hand or dish soap, fans, copy paper, tissue, blankets, plastic sandwich bags, plastic totes with lids, towels, sponges, plastic/latex gloves, bleach, hydrogen peroxide and space heaters.
