“THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA: A GRAMMY SALUTE TO THE BEATLES” (8 P.M., CBS): We still love them, yeah, yeah, yeah. This special, airing 50 years to the night that four mop-topped Brits made their debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” offers a mix of fresh performances by contemporary artists and nostalgic archival footage. Among those covering Beatles tunes are John Mayer, Keith Urban, John Legend, Katy Perry and Maroon 5. Also, surviving Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr take the stage together and get by with a little help from their friends.
“The Walking Dead” (9 p.m., AMC): “The Walking Dead” lurches back to life tonight, picking up the story just moments after the brutal bloody battle with the Governor. And as you might expect, no one is in a very good mood.
“The Making of a Lady” (10 p.m., PBS): “The Making of a Lady” has the makings of some suspenseful viewing. It’s a period drama about a young woman (Lydia Wilson) who is married off to her employer’s widowed nephew and gradually comes to fear for her life while in the company of his relatives.
