‘Stained Glass’ concert by YSO
HUBBARD
Under the music direction of Randall Craig Fleischer, the Youngstown Symphony began performing “Stained Glass Concerts” in churches throughout the Youngstown-Warren area.
This is the second year for this series, and the orchestra will perform Feb. 16 at First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave.
Seating will begin at 2:40 p.m. with the concert at 3.
The free concert will feature works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Copland and Tchaikovsky.
Hubbard Presbyterian is handicapped-accessible. Parking will be available at Hubbard Elementary School with shuttle service to the church. A reception will follow.
Mission choir
CAMPBELL
St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 305 Struthers-Liberty Road, will host the Rev. Steven Voytovich, dean of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in South Canaan, Pa., and its Mission Choir.
The seminarians will sing the responses to Great Vespers service at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 and Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. Feb. 16.
After Divine Liturgy Feb. 16, there will be a “winter picnic’’ meal in the parish hall in honor of the visit.
All are welcome to attend the weekend’s liturgical services and dinner.

Prayer breakfast
BOARDMAN
Youngstown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will host its first prayer breakfast at 8:30 a.m. April 5 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.
The theme is “Called to Serve: Using Our Gifts to Be of Service to Others.”
The speaker will be Cynthia M.A. Butler McIntyre, immediate past national president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Healing service
HERMITAGE, PA.
St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 159 Todd Ave., will conduct a special service of prayer and anointing for healing at 11 a.m. Feb. 16.
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend the service and ask for prayers on behalf of themselves or loved ones.
Light refreshments will be at 10:30 a.m.
Ministries chapter

Pastor Bonnie Verdinek will be guest speaker when the Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Feb. 17 at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 325 Boardman-Poland Road.
Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.
Pastor Verdinek is the author of “Enjoying Your Journey Even When the Road is Out.”
Feast Day Mass

Slovak Catholic Federation, Youngstown Branch, will celebrate the Feast Day of Sts. Cyril and Methodius with a Mass at 4 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St.
The Rev. George Franko will be celebrant.
A reception with light refreshments will follow in the social hall. All are welcome.
