A 24-year-old Mineral Ridge man said someone in a car shot at him Thursday evening during a botched marijuana buy.
The man told police he decided to meet a friend at a gas station at Midlothian Boulevard and South Avenue about 7:25 p.m. to buy some marijuana, and he gave someone in another car $50 for marijuana.
Instead of getting the drug, however, the person drove away and the man followed him, reports said.
When they got to the East Side, the car with the purported drug dealer slid into a concrete section of the Center Street Bridge but was able to keep driving, reports said.
The man followed the car to a home in the 300 block of Park Drive, where the car backed into the driveway.
When it came out, someone in the car fired several shots, reports said, before it drove away.
Police found a spent 9mm shell casing and a bullet hole in the man’s license plate. No one was injured.
