Gunman robs Warren gas station

WARREN — A man with a handgun got away with cash during a robbery at the BP gas station on East Market Street.

The robbery was reported to police at 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

A female employee said she was standing behind the counter when the robber, wearing a ski mask, ordered her to give him all of the money in the cash register, according to a police report. The woman panicked and looked at a male employee at the gas station. The male employee walked to the cash register, emptied it and gave the money to the robber in a plastic bag provided by the armed man, police said.

The man fled southwest on foot.

No injuries were reported.
