What: Children age 3-5 will explore different types of weather and how it affects plant life on Earth through weather-related experiments, activities and art. Snack will be provided.

Faerie Gardens
When: Saturday, 12:30-2 p.m.
What: Youths age 6-11 will spend the afternoon creating a miniature garden that any good faerie would not be able to resist.

Orchid Walk-About
When: Saturday , 10 a.m.-noon.
What: Dave Miller from Great Akron Orchid Society will lead a walk highlighting main varieties of orchids displayed throughout the Davis Center. Bring your orchid questions or actual orchid to be diagnosed.

Winter Twigs
When: Feb. 9, 2 p.m.
What: Learn to identify trees in winter using twigs, bark and growth form with Dr. Chuck McClaugherty. Participants will collect twigs and learn to use dichotomous keys for identification.
Details: Program will be indoors and outdoors. No registration required.
