Theater offers drama ‘Other Desert Cities’

NEW CASTLE, PA.

“Other Desert Cities,” directed by Lester Malizia, will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave., and will run for seven performances, Friday-Sunday and Feb. 13-16. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m., except for the 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

The biting and funny show focuses on a family gathered for Christmas, at which time one daughter announces she is publishing a memoir that dredges up a tragic event. Tickets are $13. Call 724-654-3437.
