Firefighters seeking cause of East Side house fire
YOUNGSTOWN
Firefighters are looking for the cause of a blaze that destroyed a home at 1672 Jacobs Road on the far East Side just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews called to the scene found smoke coming from the side of the home and firefighters managed to get inside to the second floor but had to back off from offensive operations because of a frozen hydrant, reports said. Instead, because of a lack of water all firefighters were called outside, reports said.
Damage is listed at $18,000. No one was injured.
