Fire at vacant Hunter Street home in Youngstown

A fire at a vacant 2691 Hunter St. home about 3:35 p.m. Wednesday caused $2,000 in damage, fire reports say.

Crews found heavy smoke coming from the three-story home when they arrived, and once they got inside firefighters managed to contain the fire to the basement, reports said.

No one was injured. The cause is under investigation.
