ODOT work on traffic lights on 224 continuing

BOARDMAN

The Ohio Department of Transportation will continue to work on traffic lights along U.S. Route 224 this week.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is directing traffic while the lights are being updated to LED lights, which increases safety and the lifetime of the bulb, ODOT said.

Workers are not allowed to be out in traffic during rush hour from 6 to 9 a.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m.

The signal-replacement project is part of a two-year endeavor by ODOT in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
