WARREN

Two more Democratic candidates filed nominating petitions Monday with the Trumbull County Board of Elections: Ken McPherson for 64th District state representative and Patricia Leopardi Knepp for Trumbull County probate judge.

McPherson becomes the third person running for the state house seat now held by Thomas Letson. Leopardi Knepp becomes the second candidate to file for probate court to replace the retiring Judge Thomas A. Swift.

McPherson, of Warren, is a Howland High School graduate and owns a real-estate and commercial-farming business.

Others who have filed nominating petitions are former Warren Mayor Michael O’Brien and Eugene D. Mach II of Warren.

Atty. Leopardi Knepp, of Howland, has been in private practice for more than 20 years with her main concentration being in probate court. She was president of the Trumbull County Humane Society from 2006 to 2008.

Also filing for the probate seat is Atty. James A. Fredericka.
