Cookie Table fundraiser set

The second annual Cookie Table & Cocktails fundraiser will be Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.
Cookies from more than 40 amateur and professional bakers will be shared and judged in several categories. More than 4,000 cookies will be displayed, and carryout boxes will be available to take some home.
Music will be provided by guitar duo String Theory, and there will be a silent auction with unique prizes.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at mahoninghistory.org or by calling 330-743-2589.
Proceeds benefit the Campaign for the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, which is now focusing on funding for exhibits and educational programming.
Sportsman’s show at expo center

The Sportsman’s Fishing and Hunting Super Show and Sale will return to Eastwood Expo Center, behind Eastwood Mall on U.S. Route 422, Feb. 28-March 2.
This show will feature bargains on everything for fishing, hunting and camping enthusiasts from more than 150 exhibitors.
It also includes a trout pond, archery range and shooting simulator. Free rods will be given to the first 100 children March 1, and free reels on March 2 (must be accompanied by an adult).
Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Feb. 28, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 1, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 2. Admission is $6 (free for children under 12). Parking is free. For information, call 330-544-8951.
