Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Those interested receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Lordstown S.C.O.P.E. Center, 1776 Salt Springs Road, will offer a tax return service preparing taxes on Mondays from Monday through April 14. This free service is open to all Trumbull County residents who do not own a business or rental property. All individuals and/or couples must have an appointment to have their tax forms completed. Call 330-394-5227 for an appointment. Take the following items for each individual listed on the tax form: last year’s tax information, photo ID cards and Social Security cards.

Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., Niles, will offer free income tax preparation through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide. Services are free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older. Appointments are available beginning at 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday and continuing each Friday through April 11. For an appointment call the center at 330-544-3676.
