Nalesniki to be topic for cooking class

Polish Youngstown’s latest Polish cooking class will go a little lighter this month with nalesniki, or crepes. Nalesniki are thin pancakes filled with all sorts of things. With a savory filling, they make a side or main dish. With a sweet filling, they’re a light dessert. They’re easy to make.

The class is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., at Wood Street. Preregistration is necessary and can be done by calling 330-427-2752 or by email to tad@polishyoungstown.org. Take a small well-seasoned (or nonstick) fry pan and a carryout container. All other ingredients will be provided. The cost is $25.
