Diana Tremblay, General Motors vice president of global business services, will be the keynote speaker at the 22nd annual ATHENA Award dinner May 22 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
The award recognizes area business and professional women who distinguish themselves in terms of professional achievement, community service and support for professional women.
The dinner is hosted by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and The Vindicator, but additional sponsors are being sought.

Economic breakfast

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its Economic Forecast Breakfast, featuring keynote speaker Jay Williams, at 8 a.m. Thursday at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.
Williams, who served as the mayor of Youngstown from 2006 to 2011, has been nominated to serve as head of the U.S. Economic Development Agency. He will discuss the economic expectations for the nation. The cost is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers.

Canfield chamber seeks nominations
CANFIELD
The Canfield Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for two awards that will be presented at the April 4 Good Morning, Canfield program.
The Canfield Business Pride Award honors businesses located within township or city limits that exemplify ethical, moral and professional standards in their workplace and have visibly contributed to local economic development. The nomination form can be accessed in the Member Resources/Events section at regionalchamber.com.
Spirit of Canfield Award in 2014 recognizes an individual and focuses on his or her overall contributions to the city and township, rather than exclusively on business contributions. There is no official nomination form for this award, but the chamber welcomes input from the public.

Farmers conference
SHREVE
Ohio Young Farmers Inc. will have its 66th annual state conference March 7 and 8, with Dave Hohman of the Mohawk chapter presiding over the festivities.
Participants will gather March 7 at the Ken Miller Supply Museum in Shreve, and March 8 will feature a full day of tours in Wayne County, followed by a 6 p.m. banquet at Jake’s Steakhouse. For more information, call the OYF office at 740-828-3832.
