Public meeting on Vestal Road bridge work Feb. 13

A public meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Stambaugh Charter Academy cafeteria, 2420 Donald Ave., to discuss the $3.4 million rehabilitation of the Vestal Road bridge over Intertstate 680, which will occur in 2016.

At least one lane will be open in each direction on Interstate 680 throughout the project, but Vestal Road will close for up to six months and Hazelwood Avenue will close for up to 45 days during construction.

The project includes replacing the bridge deck, beams and piers and raising the bridge’s deck height to increase the vertical clearance for interstate traffic under it.
