Columbus man arrested in armed robbery

Boardman Township police arrested a 19-year-old Columbus man on a warrant for aggravated robbery and illegal possession of a weapon.

Quentin Boone is in the Mahoning County Jail. He is to appear in court for a hearing at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Boone is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint Jan. 16 after they got off a Western Reserve Transit Authority bus.

The victim was talking to Boone about purchasing hats, according to a police report. The report says Boone eventually demanded the man give him the hats when they were in a wooded area behind a residence on Brookwood Road.
