Motorcyclist dies in Girard accident

GIRARD — A man died of skull fractures and chest injuries in a motorcycle accident early Tuesday morning, said an official with the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office said.

Dr. Joseph S. Ohr, deputy coroner and a forensic pathologist, said Brian Reddinger, 46, of Squaw Creek Drive in Girard was riding home at 4:11 a.m. when he struck an oncoming car on South State Street in the city.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Toxicology results are pending, Ohr said. The autopsy was performed at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
