Police looking for 2 who stole SUV, rammed cruiser

YOUNGSTOWN — Police continue looking for two men who managed to elude officers early this morning after a vehicle chase that ended with a cruiser being damaged.

Police tried to pull over a stolen SUV with two men inside about 3:10 a.m. on the South Side, but the SUV refused to stop, reports said, until it got to a driveway in the 600 block of Almyra Avenue, where a cruiser smashed into it.

The two men inside jumped out and ran away. Police could not find them, reports said.
