Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. The entire inventory will be 50 percent off the rest of December. The closet is open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. including Tuesday.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a buffet dinner and entertainment. The public is invited. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and a dinner buffet will be served at 7:30. Take your own bottle or there will be a cash bar with snacks. The cost is $45 per person and includes mixers, beer, pop, coffee and tea. Guys Without Ties will entertain beginning at 8:30. Jewish Community Center of Youngstown will host a trip to Pittsburgh to see Steve Solomon’s “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish, and I’m in Therapy” on Jan. 18. Price includes orchestra seat, transportation and tip. Dinner is on your own. Participants will leave JCC at noon and return at 8:30 p.m. The price is $62 per member and $72 per nonmember.
