Fire closes Boardman street for few hours

BOARDMAN — A street was closed for a time while crews fought a fire today.

Boardman firefighters were called to 204 S. Cadillac St. for a house fire 2:58 p.m. The fire was under control in minutes and left “quite a bit of damage in the basement and living room,” said Don Kloes, Boardman assistant fire chief.

There no injuries and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The road was closed during the fire so that crews could run a fire hose to a hydrant on the street.
