Violet Morris of Washington, D.C., originally of Liberty, and Joshua Mantell, also of Washington, were married in a 6 p.m. Sept. 6 ceremony officiated by Rabbi Daniel Zemel at Long View Gallery, where a reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Janet Yanigloss and Clyde Morris of Liberty, and the groom is the son of Maxine and Michael Mantell of Sacramento, Calif.

The couple took a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands and continue to make their home in Washington.

Hannah Morris, the bride’s sister, was her maid of honor, and the bridesmaid was Emily Shaffer. They wore floor-length patterned dresses in hues of blue.

David Mantell, brother of the groom, served as his best man, and the groomsman was Zack Shulkin, the groom’s cousin.

Mrs. Mantell graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in communications and art history. She earned a master’s degree in arts management from American University and is employed in artistic programs for Cultural D.C.

Mr. Mantell earned a degree in history from the University of California Santa Barbara and works in government relations for the Wilderness Society.
