Mark Hughes scored 34 points to lead the Irish (5-1). After being down after the first quarter, the Irish fought back and outscored the Panthers in the second and third quarters. Ben Gabel led the Panthers with 16 points.

CHAMPION
Zach Usher made two free thows with 1.7 seconds left to lift Warren JFK over Champion. Usher finished with 22 points and six rebounds to lead the Eagles, who made eight 3-pointers. Isaac Carrino and Justin Bofenkamp each added 13 points for JFK. Chris Miller led the Flashes with 18 points.

MINERAL RIDGE
Mac White scored 18 points on six 3-pointers to lead the Rams (1-5) to their first victory of the season. The Rams also got 14 points from Zane Rummell. Garrett Kellogg scored 12 points to lead the Braves (2-4).

Chase Hilliard scored 22 points but it was not enough for the Beavers. Hayden Grafton added 16 and Christian Cooper had 14 for the Beavers. Cyle Perez scored 19 points to lead the Golden Bears.

Matt Heffinger scored 16 points and Jerian Thomas added 12 for the Warriors (5-1). Josh Craig and Avery Andric had 16 each for the Blue Devils (4-3).

Melinda Trimmer made four 3-pointers and finished with 24 points as West Branch took care of Marlington. Pavin Heath added 13 points and seven rebounds to help keep the Warriors (8-0, 5-0 NBC) unbeaten. Marlee Peck led Marlington (5-3, 2-2) with 11 points and six rebounds.

CANFIELD
Erin Risner scored 19 points and Rachel Tinkey added 16 to lead the Cardinals. Caitlin Kane had 13 points to lead the Wildcats.

Bella Gajdos and Emily Melnek each had 16 points to lead the Bulldogs. Poland used a 26-13 first quarter to set the pace. Callie Ford scored 33 points to lead the Tigers (4-4).

Gabby Kline scored 20 points and Tia Harris added 13 as Newton Falls cruised past Rootstown. Kline also grabbed 13 rebounds to record a double-double for the Tigers (7-1, 5-0 AAC). Monique Jackson and Cayanne Breznak each scored seven points to lead Rootstown (4-5).

Shymara Dykes scored 14 points and Chelsea Dipaolo had 12 in Warren Harding’s win over Hubbard. Alasjia Dykes also scored 10 point for the Raiders (5-3). Michelle Peachock had a team-high 14 points and Emily Manion added 11 for the Eagles.

Jaclyn Yankle scored a game-high 17 points in a losing effort for Cardinal Mooney. Maggie Monahan led the Cardinals (4-4) with nine rebounds, while Yankle added seven. Mooney was held to seven first-half points by Kennedy Catholic.

Krista Johnson scored 14 points and Amber McMillan added 10 to lead Boardman past Niles. Amanda Blank had a game-high 17 points for Niles.

Destiny May had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Brookfield past Maplewood. Delany Saxton added eight points for the Warriors (5-2, 5-1). Morgan Hansel scored a game-high 19 points and Miranda Sloan added 16 for the Rockets.
