Man killed in home invasion

MASSILLON

Authorities say a man was shot to death and another wounded during a home invasion in the Northeast Ohio city of Massillon.

Two armed men wearing masks and hoods forced their way into a home Friday night and ordered the homeowner and a guest into the kitchen. An altercation with the gunmen led to four shots being fired. Twenty-four-year-old Tonio Manson of Massillon died of gunshot wounds to the chest and leg. The 24-year-old unnamed guest was treated for a wound to the upper arm.

The suspects fled after the shooting.

and haven’t been arrested.

A Massillon police officer says home invasions are common in the city and that the latest one doesn’t appear to be random.
