BANKING
The Home Savings and Loan Co. announced the hiring of Nick Linamen as area sales manager for central Ohio. Home Savings is a subsidiary of United Community Financial Corp. Linamen brings with him more than 30 years of banking and lending experience, and was employed at Benchmark Bank, Union Savings Bank, National City and U.S. Bank over the past 20 years. He attended Cedarville University.
F.N.B. Corp. announced that its board of directors elected Robert A. Hormell and Heidi Nicholas on Dec. 17 as new members of the board. Hormell has more than 35 years of experience in regional economic and community development. He earned his master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois. Nicholas brings more than 30 years of diverse corporate experience to the F.N.B. Corp. board. Nicholas received her master’s of business administration in finance and accounting from the Cornell University Graduate School of Management.

Bruce Bille, founder and president of Technical Staffing Professionals, was highlighted in the Nov. 28 issue of “2014-2015 Who’s Who in Energy” by Columbus Business First. Bruce has been actively recruiting in the fuel-cell industry since 2001, longer than any other recruiter or agency in North America.
AVIATION
Donald Bernier of Poland joined an elite list of accredited aviation professionals in gaining the Certified Aviation Manager qualification. The CAM program is administered by the National Business Aviation Association, Washington, D.C. Bernier, an FAA-certified airline transport pilot, offers pilot services, aircraft management and other flight support services to corporate aircraft operators in Youngstown, Cleveland and Akron.
PARKs
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park has elected Thomas E. Green as its new chairman of its board of directors, and Ellen Perduyn as vice chairwoman. Green began a two-year term Dec. 15. Green is an attorney and shareholder at Kastner Westman and Wilkins LLC, an Akron-based labor and employment law firm, representing management. He has served in several volunteer capacities for the Conservancy for CVNP since 2007. Perduyn is assistant vice president, corporate and foundation relations, at the University of Akron. She has served on the Conservancy for CVNP’s board of directors since 2013.
