Troopers identify pedestrian killed by truck

SOUTHINGTON

Troopers from the Southington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed on state Route 305 Tuesday night as Kevin Kellar, 27, of North Park Ave in Warren.

Kellar also had an address on Hemlock Lane in Garrettsville.

The patrol said Keller was walking westbound on Route 305 near the center line of the road when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by Scott Williams, 18, of Southington. Williams was not injured. The accident occurred three-tenths of a mile west of U.S. Route 422 in Southington.

The crash remains under investigation.

Although Kellar was wearing clothing that displayed the logo of a company called “OCI,” he was not employed there, the patrol said.
