Police: Drunken wife drives car through estranged husband’s front door

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. — A 31-year old Southington woman is in hot water with the law after police say a verbal argument with her estranged husband led her to drive her car through his front door and into the living room.

Police say that Jennifer Luisi, 31, of Southington, arrived at her estranged husband’s Paul Heights home at approximately 9:04 p.m. Tuesday night and began banging on his door in an attempt to speak with him. The husband has a protective order against Luisi and called 911.

Police say that Luisi, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time, then re-entered her car and drove it through the front door of the home, eventually coming to a stop in the living room.

Luisi was charged with criminal violation of a protective order, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She was held on a $25,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on the charges.
