Austintown man reports his gun stolen

AUSTINTOWN — A township man's gun was stolen from his residence.

A resident of an apartment on Westchester Drive reported to police Monday that he was missing his .38-caliber Smith & Wesson gun along with a holster and speed loader.

A police report detailed that it was taken sometime between Oct. 2 and Monday.

The resident noticed the items were gone because his gun bag in his closet was open and he keeps it shut, the report said.

The matter is under investigation.
