HONORS
Lawyers recognized
Two lawyers at Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd., each with more than 30 years in Ohio law practice, have been named to the 2014 Ohio Super Lawyers list, which contains only about 5 percent of the state’s lawyers.
They are James L. Blomstrom, a business litigation attorney, who is certified in civil trial law advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy; and Frederick S. Coombs III, who is certified as a creditors’ rights law specialist by the American Board of Certification.
Blomstrom has been on the peer-reviewed list for 12-consecutive years and Coombs for six-consecutive years.
Matthew M. Ries, a civil litigation and employment lawyer with the firm, has been designated a “Rising Star” — a distinction limited to lawyers under age 40, who have been practicing law less than 10 years.
No more than 2.5 percent of Ohio lawyers earn this honor. With offices in Youngstown, Warren and Salem, HHM is the area’s largest law firm.
