The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods awarded

The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods is very pleased to announce it has been selected for two prestigious Press Ganey awards, the 2014 Beacon of Excellence Award and the 2014 Guardian of Excellence Award.

The Press Ganey Beacon of Excellence Award is given to the top three healthcare organizations nationally on the basis of extraordinary achievement. This competitive award specifically recognizes high levels of excellence in patient experience and is only awarded to health care providers who have maintained consistently high performance for three consecutive years.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a health care industry symbol of achievement. Fewer than 5 percent of all Press Ganey clients reach this threshold and consistently maintain it for one year. Southwoods has done so for five consecutive years. All Guardian recipients are within the 95th percentile of demonstrated performance in patient satisfaction.

“‘The Southwoods Way’ of delivering health care is entirely about providing exceptional patient satisfaction, and I am pleased to accept these two new Press Ganey awards that recognize this commitment,” said Ed Muransky, Chief Executive Officer of Southwoods. “Our physicians and staff are dedicated to outstanding service and compassionate care for our patients, and I am proud of their consistently excellent level of achievement.”

Press Ganey is a nationally recognized rating service for healthcare providers. Each year, the company reviews the records and performance of more than 10,000 facilities before bestowing its coveted awards.
