Beaver Township interchange moves along

The Ohio Department of Transportation has secured $1 million from the Transportation Review Advisory Council for a proposed interchange at Interstate 680 and state Route 164 in Beaver Township.

This is one of three projects ODOT is planning for that corridor. One is to widen Route 164 from Middletown Road to state Route 626 and construct a roundabout at the 164/626 intersection. That project also will include widening the 164 bridge over the turnpike.

The other project will widen and replace the 164 bridge over I-680.

ODOT also plans to ask TRAC for an additional $5 million in construction funding for the interchange project.

All the projects are planned to be completed by 2020.
