America Makes announced the recipients of three Air Force Research Laboratory funded special-topic project calls. Driven by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, America Makes will award more than $2.12 million toward funding of these projects with $998,000 in matching-cost share from the awarded project teams for total funding worth more than $3 million.
The recipients are 3D Systems of South Carolina; University of Texas-Austin; GE Global Research; Pennsylvania State University; and Columbus-based EWI.
America Makes’ headquarters is on Boardman Street in downtown Youngstown.
Huntington Bank to offer Apple Pay
COLUMBUS
Huntington Bank has agreed to become an Apple Pay partner and will offer customers the service in January, the bank announced Thursday.
Apple Pay is a new category of service that is transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay. It can be used at more than 220,000 stores and restaurants. Apple Pay will allow Huntington customers to store and use their credit or debit card from Huntington in a digital form with the new iPhone 6.
