Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a Winter Warm-up luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The feature will be Knitted Treasures by Sue Irons, and music will be provided by Bob Noble. The speaker will be Marci McCombs of Canfield on the “Extreme Makeover Experience.” The cost is $13 and includes lunch. Reservations are due Jan. 7. D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: Monday, Mocha House in Boardman for coffee at 7 p.m., and Dec. 26, lobby of Movies 8 at the Shops at Boardman Park at 6:30 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Care Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S. Broadway, Salem. All family members and caregivers of Alzheimer patients are invited to attend. No charge for attendance. For information call 330-788-9755.

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland. For information call 330 856-3822.

VETERANS

VFW Post 6488 Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday at the post home, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road. Members are asked to take a $10 unwrapped toy and a covered dish for a social hour after the meeting. Dues are now payable.
