Waste-management company relocates its HQ to Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — A waste-management company is relocating its corporate offices from Middlefield to downtown Youngstown’s 20 Federal Place.

The board of control approved a five-year lease Thursday with North American Waste Solutions that starts Jan. 1.

The company will initially have five to six employees at the city-owned 20 Federal Place on West Federal Street, and plans to bring more workers there in the future, said Sean T. McKinnney, the city’s buildings and grounds superintendent.

Middlefield is in Geauga County, about 40 miles from Youngstown.

Attempts to reach company officials today by The Vindicator were unsuccessful.
